Dr. Marcel G. Lambrechts, Jr. earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1991. Remaining at the forefront of dental advancements, Dr. Lambrechts actively participates in four study clubs and consistently attends numerous continuing education courses each year. Residing in Richmond, VA, with his wife, Susan, Dr. Lambrechts is a proud father of two grown children, Andrew and Katherine, who are pursuing their final professions. Their dog, Emmy, adds a delightful touch to their now-empty nest.
Dr. Lambrechts is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, the Richmond Dental Society (past president), the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the Spear Study Club.
In his free time, Dr. Lambrechts enjoys tennis, golf, coin collecting, traveling to the Outer Banks and Europe with his family, cooking, and has been known to throw a great bar-b-cue party. He has been told his French fries are legendary, and his wings and steaks are delicious.
Dr. Lambrechts also loves new electronic gadgets, all things Disney, and watching his young adults grow up. He recently joined an all-dentist band called “Gums and Roses” that will not likely be in demand anytime soon.
He is active in his church and enjoys the time of quiet contemplation to refresh for his week ahead. Dr. Lambrechts is also a Rotarian and is a past president of the Sandston Rotary Club. As a lifelong West Virginian, he knows first-hand the growing needs of our region. He participates in the Virginia Missions of Mercy and helped start the Richmond Dental Society Fundraiser, which helps local families in need receive dental care. He is also a strong supporter of the Boy Scouts, the YMCA, and many local schools and events.
Raised in central New Jersey, Dr. John Peroutka received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont. After researching novel cancer drugs at Virginia Commonwealth University for six years, he relocated to Richmond, attending dental school and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. Currently residing in the city, Dr. Peroutka embraces the diverse offerings that Richmond has to offer.
He continued to train at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where he received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry working side-by-side with all of the various dental specialists.
Dr. Peroutka is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Richmond Dental Society. He also participates in the Richmond Interdisciplinary Dental Society and the Northeast Richmond Dental Study clubs for continuing education.
He currently resides in the city, enjoying all Richmond has to offer. He especially appreciates the history, architecture, art, culture, and diversity our fair city brings. Music appreciation, sports, dining, and travel keep him busy throughout the year when away from the office.
A native of nearby Goochland County, Dr. Rena Hamzey obtained her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2014. As a member of the American Dental Association and Virginia Dental Association, Dr. Hamzey stays on top of new innovations in dental care. Intrigued by the connection between oral health and overall well-being, she is dedicated to delivering comprehensive dental care.
She briefly moved to Baltimore where she worked on obesity prevention and public health research. She went on to complete a one-year post-baccalaureate program through Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, where she continued her studies to eventually earn her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hamzey enjoys spending time with family, running, baking, and taking her cat Percy for walks. She loves spending time outdoors and hopes to one day visit all the national parks.
After a career in geology, Dr. Bokinsky transitioned to dentistry at Virginia Commonwealth University. Following a 2-year General Practice Residency at the McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Bokinsky spent four years in private practice. Currently, he works with Advanced Education in General Dentistry residents at the VCU School of Dentistry. Outside of work, Dr. Bokinsky enjoys outdoor activities with his family and numerous pets.
Originally from Vienna, VA, Dr. Cherney graduated from VCU’s dental school and furthered her education in an Advanced Education of General Dentistry program in North Carolina. Back in Richmond, she delights in exploring new restaurants, playing tennis, and engaging in jigsaw puzzles. Dr. Cherney finds joy in merging the art and science of dentistry to restore smiles.
With degrees in Chemistry, Speech Communication, and Dental Hygiene from Minnesota and the Philippines, Krizka comes from a close-knit dental family. Her love for adventure and the outdoors includes traveling worldwide and camping. An avid trail runner, Krizka maintains year-round physical activity and is open to trying new experiences. Committed to understanding the link between dental health and overall well-being, she ensures a caring, comfortable, and friendly experience for her patients.
Part of the Seven Pines Dental Group since 2019, Shannon is a native of New Kent County. Graduating with her BS from VCU School of Dentistry in 2018, she aims to create a compassionate, positive, and fun-filled environment for her patients. Dedicated to providing top-notch care, Shannon ensures her patients leave her chair loving their smiles. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking with her dog Snupe, and spending quality moments with her family.
A Mechanicsville native, Delshea graduated from Northern Virginia Community College with an A.A.S degree in dental hygiene. She values time with family and friends and takes pleasure in getting to know her patients. Delshea’s goal is to optimize oral health through quality patient care, one smile at a time.
Breanne graduated from VCU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and later earned honors from NYU School of Dentistry in 2007. Her passion lies in connecting with patients and helping them achieve a healthy smile they can be proud of. Outside of providing excellent care, Bre enjoys family time, gardening, and paddleboarding.
Tammy has been in the dental field since 1992. Fun fact she started as Dr. James H Smiths scrub girl right out of high school and that’s where her career began. She was a dental assistant for nine years, five of those she was the lead assistant, and then transitioned to office manager. She spent 27 years with her previous employer before making the change to SPDG. She brings a ton of knowledge, experience and skills to the practice. In her spare time she loves spending time with her family and hiking with her husband and 2 Labrador Retrievers.
Melanie enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and doing yoga. She is excited to create relationships with her patients and helping them achieve a happier and healthier lifestyle.
Originally from Chesterfield, Virginia, Jamie graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from VCU School of Dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and friends. She is excited to provide preventative health care and build rapport with patients.
